Delivering through the Special Rate Variation (SRV)
As our City continues to grow and thrive, we’re committed to delivering the modern infrastructure and services that our community expects. To support this vision for the future, Council secured approval for a Special Rate Variation (SRV) from IPART in May 2021.
The additional funds from the SRV allow us to provide the necessary infrastructure for a growing city, while also ensuring that our community assets and services are maintained to standards our community expect.
For a closer look at how we're investing this funding, explore the details below.
We’re investing in new and enhanced services to meet the evolving needs of our community. These initiatives include.
- Cleaning town centres, streets, parks and waterways
- Incorporating innovation and technology into services
- Addressing illegal dumping
- Improvement to Industrial areas

- Roads and footpaths;
- Community buildings and sport clubhouses;
- Public toilets; and
- Town centres.
