Sharon has been acknowledged as the quiet achiever as her international career took some time to emerge, but consistency would be her strong point. After almost 10 seasons in the Women's National Cricket League, Sharon was selected in 2011 to represent Australia for the first time in the One-Day International against New Zealand. Further representation would follow in February 2012 when she would make her debut in the T20 Series.
Beginnings
Sharon would spent her early years in Auburn and later relocated to Campbelltown. She joined the Bankstown Sports Cricket Club, playing an important role for Bankstown and would help them achieve premiership wins for the 4 consecutive seasons (2007-11). Sharon was selected to play for NSW in the 2001/02 season.
Achievements
In March 2012 Australia (the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars) won their first One Day International against India March 12, 2012 by 30 runs. Sharon would provide one of her personal best performances.
Post Representation
Sharon continues to combine her professional career as an Occupational Therapist (Geriatric Rehabilitation) with playing representative Cricket.
