Sam Le Hammond

Sam successfully participated in several sports before concentrating on Touch Football in 1987 when he was selected to represent Australia while still at school. The team would tour QLD and New Zealand. In 1988 he would wear the green and gold again this time as Captain of the Australian Team.

    Captained his touch football team the Locals' to a Grand final victory and played every Wednesday night at Kelso.

Beginnings

Sam resided in Edgar Street, Bankstown while attending Narwee Boys High and was the first student at this school to be selected for the Australian Touch Football Team. In 1988 he transferred to Bass Hill High and was captain of the Combined High Schools (CHS) Touch Football Team which toured NZ and QLD.

Achievements

Sam was the Captain of the Australian Team in Touch, 1988 as well as the NSW Teams.
