Noel Irving
Noel was able to rise quickly through the levels and by 1953 was selected to shoot off for a place in the Australian Team travelling to Bisley, England.

Beginnings
Noel came to the district with his wife in 1938 and settled in Northam Avenue, Bankstown, residing there for over 50 years. A master butcher by trade, he operated a butchers shop in South Terrace, Bankstown. Noel commenced shooting in 1948 as a member of the Rockdale Rifle Club.
Achievements
He would continue to represent Australia to 1974 culminating in his NSW Queens win and Grand Championship in 1964.
Post Representation
Noel coached the NSW and Australian Team to many wins between 1965 and 1974.
