Kevin Mullen

Kevin is regarded as having one of Australia's all-time most successful domestic league careers as he was part of five pre-NSL state league premierships and four NSL Championships. Kevin reached the pinnacle of his career and successfully represented Australia from 1977 to 1980 in the position of defender (right back, fullback).

Beginnings

Kevin was born and bred in the district, first residing at Pandora Street then moving to Juno Parade in 1963 and would remain in the district for over 35 years. He began playing soccer for Greenacre Soccer Club in 1961 and would represent Bankstown from U/8 to U/15 (4 state championships).

Achievements

His Socceroo statistics were 3 Caps (plus 5 appearances / 2 goals in nonA internationals) from 19761980. In June 2009, Kevin as an ‘A' International player for Australia (No. 255) would be awarded a player's cap.

Post Representation

On retirement, Kevin would coach the Greenacre U/21 to win Robinson Cup 1984. He would continue to be the Greenacre Premier Coach for 5 years and in that time they would win 2 State Cups in 1985 and 1988.
