John Tawadrous

John demonstrated his ability early in his career and in 1998 he would compete and win the Under 14 age group at the Australian Junior Championships. In 2001 he was selected to represent Australia at both the Commonwealth and World Championships and would again wear the green and gold at the Commonwealth Games Manchester in 2002.

Beginnings

John was born in Cairo then migrated to Australia with his family to live in Padstow. Coached by his father, he began playing the sport at the age of 9 .

Achievements

In 2001 he was the Winner of Australian Junior Championship U/18 Singles, Doubles & Mixed Doubles, U/16 Singles, Doubles & Mixed Doubles. He also represented Australia in World Table Tennis Championships, Commonwealth Championships, Croatia Open Championship and represented Australia in the 8th Asian Junior Championship.

Post Representation

In 2011 John retired from representation and graduated with a Bachelors majoring in Law and Marketing from University of Sydney.
