Pets Day Out

Join us for a fun Pets Day Out in Riverwood!

Saturday 20 June, 11am-3pm

Due to wet weather and poor ground conditions, we have made the decision to POSTPONE Pets Day Out.

The event will now take place on Saturday 20 June from 11am-3pm. We apologise for the inconvenience and would like to thank our stallholders and community for your continued support.

Join us for a day to celebrate your furry friends.

We are barking with excitement to see you at this FREE event, returning again in 2026! This isn’t just any day out – it’s a celebration of everything fabulous and furry.

Come along with friends, family and pets and meet other pet members in the community. Join in with FREE activities for both people and animals alike, get animal information and meet with animal charities and suppliers. All leashed are pets welcome!

All future event updates and important notices will be posted here and on the full webpage, so be sure to check back often.

Frequently Answered Questions

The event is outdoors, so remember to bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and protective clothing.

The recent rain and heat means that there will be mosquitoes, so it’s important to follow these tips to protect yourself:

  • Cover up by wearing long, loose-fitting, light-coloured clothing, covering as much of the body as you can. Mosquitoes can bite through tight clothing like jeans. Make sure children are also appropriately covered up.
  • Repel by applying insect repellent containing picaridin or DEET evenly to exposed skin. Don’t forget to reapply if you’re outside for an extended period of time.

Yes absolutely, we love furry friends just as much as you do! All leashed and well-behaved pets are welcome to attend. Owners must pick up after their pet and dispose in garbage bins provided. Animal Control Officers will be at the event and there are two off leash park spaces next to the event.

No, this is an alcohol-free event. You cannot purchase or bring any alcohol with you.

FREE dog microchipping will be available to Canterbury-Bankstown residents. Please bring proof of residency with you. If you have a cat that needs to be microchipped please talk to our Animal Control Officers to arrange a home visit.
