Gus achieved national representation when he travelled to Bisley in the UK as a member of the Australian Team and represented NSW from 1954 to 1956

Beginnings
Gus was born and raised in the district at Wangee Road, Lakemba from 1925 and he would reside at Hampden Road, Lakemba until 1963. He joined the family business and worked as a Tanner. He followed in his fathers footstep and join the Bankstown Rifle Club (Established 1915) from 1939 to 1959
Achievements
In 1955 Gus was part of the NSW team that won the Merrett and Gordon Highlanders, held at Enoggera Qld. He was also a member of the Australian rifle team that travelled to Bisley in the UK in 1956. The team was second in the Mackinnon, 3rd in Kolapore and 4th in the Empire Match.
