Why travel far to try exotic flavours from around the world when you can sample most of them at Canterbury-Bankstown's largest food festival,
The annual foodie mecca attracts more than 10,000 people to Olympic Parade, Bankstown, each year, which is lined with pop up food stalls and an array of sweet and savoury dishes from around the globe.
Some of the dishes this year will include, Turkish gozleme, Korean-Mexican tacos, Asian dumplings, Japanese gyoza, Spanish Paella, Hungarian beef goulash, German sausages, Egyptian koshari, Hawaiian shrimp, American-style corn pockets, chicken wings and ice-cream Sundays, and French sweet and savoury crepes, plus more.
Also on the menu this year will be cooking demonstrations from special guest celebrity chef,
Darren Robertson. The Three Blue Ducks owner and My Kitchen Rules judge is promising to share his culinary secrets on the main cooking stage.
And speaking of MKR, this year's fan-favourites, the "friends not a couple" duo,
David and Betty, will be joining the celebrity chef lineup and serving up their signature Asian flavours.
cooking demonstrations throughout the day will include how to perfectly cook a steak and smoke different cuts of meat courtesy of the Sydney BBQ Cooking School, and how to cook authentic Aussie tucker from Fred's Bushtucker.
Wanting more out of the Bites Food Festival? Why not stop by the
Canterbury-Bankstown Arts Centre open day, which will host a variety of kids activities and highlight a food-themed exhibition. Once they're finished with the arts and crafts, they will be kept further entertained with the carnival of rides on offer!
