Canoe Clean Up at Salt Pan Creek

Help clean up Salt Pan Creek by canoe or kayak

Saturday 18 April, 9.30am-noon

Join us for a guided tour of Salt Pan Creek by canoe or kayak, picking up litter as we go. At this social event, canoers and kayakers will paddle a scenic section of the creek, looking out for floating litter and debris trapped in the mangroves.

After a safety briefing at the boat ramp, participants will be assigned a canoe or kayak, litter bag, litter-pickers, gloves and life jacket. Upon returning to the boat ramp, water and soft drinks will be available.

Children must be at least 14 years old to participate. Children aged 14 to 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Attendees MUST have some experience kayaking and have a minimal ability to swim and stay afloat with a life jacket. Those without on-water experience or swimming ability will be turned away.
