Anthony Moon

As a Full Bore Rifle Shootist Tony reached national status by 1979 and went on to successfully represent Australia from 1988. He continued to contribute to his sport and in 2011 would lead the NSW Team at the Australian Veterans Teams Championship.

Beginnings

Tony came to the district as a 9 year old, residing in Pyramid Avenue, Padstow and was a member of the Port Jackson Rifle Club.

Achievements

Anthony was in teams for Australia at numerous events in the 80's. Taking first place at the 1988 Bicentennial Palma Match (Palma Trophy) and second place Empire Match. He took out the Captain James Cook Trophy in Australia scoring 250/250 to come 1st (In world class field of approx 1000 Marksmen).

Post Representation

In Aug 2011 at 61 years, Tony captained the NSW Team at the Australian Veterans Teams Championship achieving second place in the Don Cook Match Trophy and first place in the Kosi-Ford Trophy (Grand Aggregate) 5 man team.
