Youth Week is back!
Thu 16-Sun 26 Apr at various times and locations
We are proud to celebrate Youth Week 2026, a vibrant celebration led by young people, for young people to Dare. Dream. Do. From creative workshops and live events, to wellbeing activities and pathways to jobs and study, our Youth Week program invites young people in our community aged 12-24 to connect, express themselves and use their voices.
Mayor's Message
Dear community,
We all want to be heard, and young people are no exception.
So, if you are one of the more than 65,000 amazing young people aged 12-24 in Canterbury-Bankstown, I want to hear from you.
This year’s Youth Week will give you the chance to speak up.
The events have been designed with input from our Youth Advisory Group. This group, made up of young people just like you, tells me and Council what they want to see around our City.
But we want to hear from even more young people.
So, we’re holding events like Battle of the Beats where musicians your age will express in music and song what is important to them and to you – come and join us there. Or visit our Career Expo not only to learn about new careers and training, but to talk about what you need from the world of work.
Take a break with fun events like an Amazing Race or mindful art and movement.
All these activities and opportunities (and more) will give you the chance to speak up and let us know what matters to you.
Youth Week runs from 16-26 April in NSW, but our events start 9 April. Get involved at cb.city/YouthWeek
Warm Regards,
Wed 15 April, 9-11am at corner of Maxwell Ave and Henry Lawson Dr, Milperra
Join us for a FREE sausage sizzle, DJ, bike safety info stalls and activities as we cut the ribbon to this new flagship pump track!
Check out the dedicated track with a mix of features suitable for all ages and riding experiences. Bring the kids and remember the bikes*, helmets and protective gear for a morning of school holiday fun!
*Please note, electric bikes and scooters are not allowed on the track.
Don't block driveways
When emergency services need to reach a home, every second counts.
A blocked driveway can slow down fire trucks, paramedics or police officers who are trying to respond quickly. Even a short delay can make a big difference in urgent situations. By keeping driveways clear, you’re helping to protect your community.
