Melina Marchetta is an Australian writer and educator whose internationally bestselling, award-winning novels have been published in over twenty countries and translated into eighteen languages. Her much-loved Australian classic Looking for Alibrandi won a variety of awards when it was published and was also released as a film and most recently as a stage play. Melina is also an accomplished scriptwriter for film and television. Her most recent series is her What Zola did on Monday for younger readers.

Join beloved Australian author Melina Marchetta, in conversation with Sarah Macdonald as they explore Melina’s acclaimed writing career and the cultural influence that has shaped her storytelling. From Looking for Alibrandi and beyond, Melina will share insights into her writing journey, the lasting impact of her stories, and the influence of her Italian-Australian heritage.
