Up and atom tour Panania | National Science Week 2026
Get ‘up and atom’ with a tour of one of Australia’s largest public research organisations, located in Lucas Heights

Take an in-depth look into the world of nuclear science and the work the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) does in the areas of health, the environment and delivering solutions for industry.
These FREE tours, with bus travel included, have been organised to celebrate National Science Week.
Adults 18+ only. Limited spaces available. Bookings essential.
You are welcome to bring your own food or purchase from the cafe on site.
Please note ANSTO visitors over the age of 18 must provide the following details:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Residential address
- Photo Identification [ID Type (Driver’s Licence or Passport), State/Country of issue, and ID Number]

Pick up and drop off details
Please meet at Panania Library and Knowledge Centre and let staff know of your arrival. Staff will then direct customers over to where the bus will depart from. Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes early at Panania Library as the bus will depart at 8:30am sharp.
