Join our fun Summer Reading Club and record your reading for the chance to win exciting prizes!

Our clubs are open to anyone aged 5-18.

Record the books that you read and track your progress on our Reader Zone app or pick up a reading log at your local branch and register online. 

When you reach the targets for your age group, either show us your badges from Reader Zone or hand in your completed reading log to receive lucky dip prizes and to go into the draw for our major summer prize!

Get involved!

Register in the link below and pick up your reading log from your local library or download the Reader Zone app to participate.

For every 15 minutes you read, mark it off in the app or on your reading log.

For every 30 minutes you read, mark it off in the app or on your reading log. 

Create an artwork using recycled and/or natural materials. It can be either a 2D or 3D piece of art.

Open to everyone aged 5-18 who lives or studies in Canterbury-Bankstown. 

Prizes to be won! Winners will be announced on Friday 31 January 2025.

Grab an entry form from the front desk at your local branch and find all the pictures.

The hunt is open to everyone aged 5-12 who visits our libraries. 

Prizes to be won! Winners will be announced on Friday 31 January 2025.

Grab yourself a review card from your local library and tell us about your favourite book you’ve read this summer for the chance to win a prize.

All entries will be displayed so that others can find their next favourite read. The more entries, the more chances to win! Don’t forget to fill in both sides of the review card.

This competition is open to everyone aged 12-18 who visits our libraries.

Competition Terms and Conditions

Instructions, prizes and information on how to enter form part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering, entrants accept these Terms and Conditions.
Eligibility
Entrants/guardians must be a library member, resident or ratepayer of the City of Canterbury Bankstown ("Council") or attending a school in the Canterbury-Bankstown Local Government Area.
Entrants must be aged 18 years and under.
When to enter
The competition commences at 9.30am on Monday 25 November 2024 and concludes at 5pm on Friday 24  January 2025. Entries must be received by Council before the competition close date and time.
How to enter
EcoArt Competition
Create an artwork using recycled and/or natural materials. It can be either a 2D or 3D piece of art. Either bring your completed work to your local library and complete the submission form or take a photo and upload it here.
Entry conditions
One entry per eligible person.
Judging
Entries for the competition will be judged in age categories by Council Library staff
Winners will be contacted on Friday 31 January 2025.
Prizes and winning
Competition winners will be awarded a summer prize pack.
