How to pay your rates (for former Canterbury ratepayers)
 

​​​​Listed below are several ways to pay your rates account:​

Direct Debit

Council will automatically deduct from your nominated account (excluding credit cards) the amount due, either the total amount annually or by quarterly instalments on the due dates.

BPay

​Contact your participating bank, credit union or building society to make this payment from your nominated account. The bank will ask for your Biller Code 35055 and Reference Number (see front of your rates notice).

Council's Biller Code (Canterbury Branch) is 35055

The reference number can be found next to the BPAY logo on the front of your rates/instalment notice.

Online

Pay your rates online using Mastercard, Visa.

Visit BPOINT and use the Biller Code 35055, with the Reference Number located next to the BPOINT logo on the front of your rates notice.

Visit POST Billpay and use the Billpay Code 2769, with the Reference Number located next to the Billpay logo on the front of your rates notice.

Call 1300 276 468 any time to make payments using Mastercard or Visa. Have your credit card ready to make the payment and use the Reference Number next to the BPoint logo on the front of your rates notice.

Post Office

You can pay at your local Post Office or at any Post Office across Australia.

You may also ring 13 18 16 to make a payment, by using the Billpay Code 2769 and the Reference Number on the front of your rates notice. Mastercard and Visa accepted.

In person at Council

Payment can be made by cash, credit card (Mastercard or Visa), debit card (EFTPOS) or cheque1.

Visit our Bankstown or Campsie Customer Service Centres:

  • Bankstown Customer Service Centre, 66-72 Rickard Road, Bankstown between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding holidays)
  • Campsie Customer Service Centre, 137 Beamish St, Campsie between 9.00am and 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding holidays)

Mail

Send your cheque and rate notice to PO Box 8, Bankstown NSW 1885. The cheque is to be made payable to Canterbury-Bankstown Council. Please note if a receipt is not required, return the deposit slip only, with your payment.

Centrepay

Centrepay is a voluntary bill-paying service that is free for Centrelink customers. Use Centrepay to arrange regular deductions from your Centrelink payment. You can set up your deductions through your Centrelink account online. Our service provider reference number is 555 054 051 H.
