How works may affect you
During construction, Bennett Park will be partially closed. Access through the park will be maintained where possible.
Residents may experience temporary noise and increased vehicle movement. We will minimise disruption where possible and appreciate your patience while we deliver an improved park for the community.
Council thanks residents for their patience and cooperation during the construction period.
We are pleased to announce upcoming improvement works at Bennett Park. The project works involve replacing a drainage pipe that is in poor condition. This will mitigate the risk of pipe failure and trees collapsing.
The key elements of the project works are installation of new large diameter stormwater pipes, decommissioning of the existing deteriorated pipeline.
These works will promote safety, protect park users and nearby private dwellings.
WHEN WILL WORKS OCCUR?
Works are scheduled to commence in April 2026 and are expected to be completed by the end of July 2026, weather permitting.
Construction hours will be between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
