Keep Connected State of Origin Competition Terms and Conditions

​Terms and Conditions

Instructions, prizes and information on how to enter form part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering, entrants accept these Terms and Conditions.


  1. Entrants must be over the age of 18;
  2. Councillors and employees of Council, and their immediate family members are ineligible to enter; and
  3. Entries made on behalf of a third party will not be valid, unless the entrant requires the assistance of a third party to enter due to a disability.

When to enter

  1. The competition commences at 9am AEST, Monday 26 April 2021 and concludes at 3pm AEST, Friday 14 May 2021 –Entries must be received by Council before the competition close date and time.

How to enter

In order for an entry into this competition to be valid, an entrant must, during the competition period;\:

Entry conditions

  1. Only one entry per person will be included in the draw
  2. Spam accounts will not be included in the draw

Prizes and winning

There are two (2) State of Origin tickets to be won;

  1. The tickets are ‘silver – adult’ grade to State of Origin, game 3 on Wednesday 14 July 2021 at ANZ stadium, Sydney, Australia. The total prize value is $210 (RRP);
  2. The prize does not include transport to and from the game, accommodation or any other additional costs including food and beverage at the event;
  3. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable, and cannot be taken as cash;
  4. The winner will be chosen at random from the total pool of entries;
  5. There will be one (1) prize pool and one (1) winner; and
  6. The winner will be announced on the City of Canterbury Bankstown Facebook page.

Prize notification and delivery

  1. The winner will be announced on the City of Canterbury Bankstown Facebook page. Once announced, the winner is required to private message Council page to arrange Ticket collection.
  2. Winner may be required to provide proof of ID and eligibility to claim the prize. If Council does not receive the required proof with 72 hours of being announced, the entrant will not proceed and a new winner will be selected;
  3. Winner must claim prize in person at Council’s Bankstown Customer Service Centre or provide their email address to Council to receive an electronic copy.


  1. The Council reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Council’s discretion.
  2. Entrants consent to Council using their name and image in the event of them being a winner, in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for promotional purposes.
  3. The winner and finalists may be asked to undertake media interviews and/ or photo opportunities.
  4. Entrants consent to providing Council all contact details to provide to the NRL to process tickets. This includes, but may not be limited to: Full name, mobile number, email address and full residential address of the person/s attending.

No Liability

  • In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
  • Canterbury-Bankstown Council will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
  • Canterbury-Bankstown Council will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim that may occur:
    • a. during the draw;
    • b. while undertaking any activity in or connected with their entry into the draw;
    • c. in the participation in any prize;
    • d. as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
    • e. due to the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compare, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person;
    • f. in relation to failure of an entry to be received by the promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion;
    • g. arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any computer equipment, software, internet connection, any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer software related to or resulting from participation in this promotion.
  • Canterbury-Bankstown Council assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
  • If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
