Hurlstone Park community space
During the feedback period in March 2020 you told us what to prioritise in Hurlstone Memorial Reserve. We’ve incorporated your feedback and revised the designs.

During the feedback period in March 2020 you told us the existing Crinan Street entrance to the Floss Street car park is highly valued, as are pedestrian experience and landscaping improvements. We’ve changed the designs to incorporate your feedback.

Lang Road bridge, Ewen Park
The new bridge across the Cooks River at Ewen Park will improve the way pedestrians and cyclists share the space and help connect the Cooks River and surrounding areas.
• A temporary cycle detour from Lang Road to Younger Avenue will be active in late 2020• Expected opening: early 2021
Ewen Park outdoor education space
A new covered outdoor space with seating and landscaping will complement the Lang Road bridge project, creating an area for local groups to gather and enjoy the Cooks River.

Foord Avenue, Hurlstone Park rain garden: Construction is complete on this bio-retention system and new pathways, with the plants establishing over the next year.
Hurlstone Park heritage initiatives: Council has adopted the revised heritage conservation area initiatives at its June 2020 meeting.
Sydney Metro temporary compound, Canterbury: Thank you to all who lodged a submission. Council has resolved to proceed to enter into a compulsory lease with Sydney Metro for use of 15 Close Street, Canterbury as a temporary compound site.
