Local students will be treated to an exciting line-up of fun activities and games, as part of the City of Canterbury Bankstown’s Spring School Holiday Program.
Children aged 5-12 will be treated to the family comedy show Kids’ Party Confidential at Bankstown Arts Centre on Tuesday 5 October from 1.30pm.
The highly interactive show, which is hosted by world-acclaimed comedian Sean Murphy, involves fun audience participation for the children and stand-up comedy for the parents.
Administrator, Richard Colley, said the comedian’s fun and quirky humour was sure to make this a memorable school holiday activity.
"Council always looks forward to giving children a fun-filled school holiday program they can enjoy with their friends and family," he said.
"The Kids’ Party Confidential comedy show emphasises the simple ways to entertain and invigorate imaginations, and inspires youngsters to be creative."
The two-hour session will comprise a one-hour performance, followed by a 10-minute break and then a 45-minute workshop.
"The workshop after the show will have youngsters creating their own games which they can replicate at home," Mr Colley said.
Murphy, who used to work as a children’s party entertainer, said his show was anything but traditional.
"It’s about giving the children an opportunity to get involved at every point," he said.
"You’d be surprised at the funny and great ideas they come up with. It’s what makes this show the best fiesta ever."
