Khal's Combi

After months of isolation City of Canterbury Bankstown Mayor Khal Asfour is getting out of his office and hitting the road to reconnect with the community.

And what better way to reconnect with locals than to get behind the wheel of the CBCity Kombi.
The clearly distinguishable cult Kombi will be centre stage as the Mayor travels around the City to meet with locals and listen to any of their concerns.
Mayor Asfour said this is a chance for the community to step away from the computer screen, put the phone down and meet with him in person.
“While I have still been taking calls and meeting with people digitally, I am glad I can now meet with people in person,” he said.
“I look forward to meeting with our City’s locals, listening to what they have to say, or even to just say G’day.”
Mayor Asfour said he will be visiting a number of locations across the City.
“On Thursday 18 June, I will be driving down to the new and improved Canterbury Town Centre,” he said.
“Everyone is welcome to come down between 10-11am to have a chat with myself and Council’s Engagement Team,” Mayor Asfour said.
“And of course we will be taking all health precautions and ensuring safe distancing.”
You can also catch Mayor Asfour on Friday 19 June at:
  • Panania Town Centre, 10-11am; and
  • Revesby Town Centre, 1.30-2.30pm.
