Max Parker Leisure and Aquatic Centre will be transformed into a water wonderland this summer, with the installation of a new giant pool inflatable attraction.
Administrator Richard Colley said children are able to climb, slide and jump over the 15-metre long inflatable obstacle course.
“There will be no need to leave Canterbury-Bankstown to have fun and stay cool thissummer,” Mr Colley said.
Children aged five to 18 years are eligible to use the new attraction but must first pass a 20-metre swimming test. If they pass, they receive a wristband, which they must wear, that entitles them to unlimited access.
The costs is just $10.40 which also includes entry to the centre.
The inflatable obstacle course will be operational from 11am to 2pm each Sunday throughout January and 10am-4pm on Australia Day.
Adding to the summer fun, youngsters can also make a splash at the Spray Park at Birrong Leisure and Aquatic Centre.
The facility features a pool area, complete with water features including a mega soakerand water cannon, as well as a wet and dry children's playground.
“We have hundreds of families who flock from all parts of Sydney to enjoy the SprayPark,” Mr Colley said.
For more information about the pool inflatable, call Max Parker Leisure and Aquatic Centre on 9771 2148, and Birrong Leisure and Aquatic Centre on 9644 8300 for the Spray Park.
Intensive swimming programs are also being held at Birrong, Max Park Parker,
Roselands and Canterbury Leisure and Aquatic Centres, from 19 December-27 January.
Participants receive one free swimming lesson at the Birrong and Max Parker facilities, if
they enrol in two weeks of the program, or 10 per cent off their first week if they enrol for
two weeks of the program at Canterbury and Roselands.
