New Bankstown Customer Service Centre

​CBCity is back and ready to do business face to face but there’ll be a difference.

The Council will reopen the doors of its Bankstown and Camps​ie Customer Service Centres from Monday June 29 to the public but has made changes to adapt to the changing times.

Cash transactions will no longer be the norm, no Justice of the Peace and our hours of operation will be between 9am-4pm.

For health and safety reasons there will be a limit of 12 people allowed inside at any time and hand sanitisers will be in place as you enter.

The Bankstown Customer Service Centre has undergone exciting new changes, which will give customers a unique “concierge style” service, geared towards a better experience.

The major renovation is the biggest overhaul to the centre in almost 20 years boasting a new colour scheme and fittings, and four new computers for residents to use. A massive 72-inch digital noticeboard will also keep residents updated on all the latest Council news.

Mayor Asfour said preparing to be open (but different) is the latest sign that life in Canterbury-Bankstown is slowly returning to normal.

“We are balancing the needs of our community and the health and safety requirements,” Mayor Asfour said.
“The slight changes to our centres were necessary so we could get back to some normality.”

Mayor Asfour said the modifications to the Bankstown Customer Service Centre were necessary and overdue, and completed with little disruption to Council’s services.

‘We’ve completely transformed the Bankstown space and its offerings where our new capabilities, like the revamped concierge service, streamlines in-person enquiries in a really personable way,” Mayor Khal Asfour said.

“I think both the staff and public will appreciate the new look.”

Despite both centres being opened, the community is still being encouraged to keep making all requests and payments to Council online from home.
