The Seniors Festival is back again in 2020 with a number of exciting activities for Canterbury-Bankstown’s senior residents to get involved in, including day trips to Shellharbour.
Three day trips to Shellharbour are scheduled for Tuesday 18, Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 February. Tickets are $20, to include the bus fare, morning tea and lunch, and go on sale at Bankstown and Campsie Customer Service Centres from Monday 3 February to Friday 14 February.
City of Canterbury Bankstown Mayor Khal Asfour said the theme of this year’s Seniors Festival is ‘Love to Celebrate’, which is about encouraging senior members of the community to live active and connected lives.
“Our senior residents are such a special part of the Canterbury-Bankstown community, and continue to play a very important role,” he said.
“So we need to take the time to say thanks to them and our Seniors Festival program, is a way of doing that.”
The entire month of February will also feature a number of FREE activities for seniors to enjoy including:
To conclude the month of celebration, a senior’s concert sponsored by Bankstown Sports Club will be held on Sunday 23 February from 2-4pm in their Grand Ballroom. The $2 entry fee will include afternoon tea and entertainment.
