Acclaimed comedians coming to Bankstown

Audiences will be treated to some side-splitting humour, when an outstanding line-up of comedians takes to the stage in Bankstown next month.

The Comedy All Stars Gala, at the Bryan Brown Theatre on 10 August, will see some of the country’s top comics, including Neel Kolhatkar, Merrick Watts and Jackie Loeb, entertain the crowd in the all-out comedy bash.

Kolhatkar, an internet sensation who has amassed more than 500,000 subscribers on YouTube, said he was excited to perform in Bankstown.

"Western Sydney audiences are always the most relaxed and laugh the hardest," he said.

"I think people can expect a lot of real relatable content and hopefully a few belly laughs."

Mayor Khal Asfour said the event was the perfect opportunity to show off the Bryan Brown Theatre to locals, as well as comedy fans from across Sydney.

"This will be yet another example of the high-calibre entertainment events we have held in Canterbury-Bankstown," he said.

The complete line-up on the night will be:

  • Neel Kolhatkar;
  • Merrick Watts;
  • Craig Quartermaine;
  • Lizzy Hoo;
  • Emma Zammit;
  • Jackie Loeb; and
  • Steve Philp (MC).

Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at bryanbrowntheatre.com.au
