On 24 March, Council announced a CBCity Cares Relief Package. This is an 18 point plan, designed to offer relief and support to our community, both residents and businesses.

The support for our non-business community is listed below.
If you have paid a fee or membership for one of our facilities that has closed due to COVID-19, we will hold the fee in credit or provide refunds for Not-for-Profits, casual hirers or those with genuine cases of hardship.
Examples of this include Council's Learn to Swim Program, children's ninja playgroup and gym memberships.
Where users are cancelling their use of facilities owing to appropriate social distancing and Coronavirus, such as meeting rooms, sporting fields or community halls, Council will similarly hold a credit or provide a refund.

In response to COVID-19 Council ran "Helping You Help Others" which was an advance of the 2020-21 grants program to provide flexible financial assistance to eligible not for profit community groups to support the provision of programs and services that:
55 applications have been adopted to receive $221,668.
The remainder of the 2020-2021 Community Grants and Event Sponsorship Program has been suspended due to COVID-19.
