The JP desk service at some of our Library and Knowledge Centres will be closed during the Christmas/New Year period. Please refer to the individual locations below for more information.

Justices Of The Peace (JPs) are volunteers within our community who are able to witness and attest many documents likeStatutory Declarations and Affidavits.

They:   

  • Certify copies of original documents; and 
  • Witness the signing of Divorce documents.

Our JPs are friendly, informative and are​ there to help – plus it's all free.

We have worked in partnership with the NSW JP Association to provide this vital service at various locations across Canterbury Bankstown, and we schedule volunteers accordingly.

Justice of the Peace services are available at: 

  • Bankstow​n Customer Service Centre - Monday to Friday at 2-4pm
  • Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre - Tuesday at 10am-noon
  • Campsie Customer Service Centre – Tuesday and Thursday at 9am-noon --  -- JP services will be unavailable at our Campsie Customer Service Centre from Tuesday 26 June until Monday 23 July 2018
  • Campsie Library and Knowledge Centre  - Wednesday and Friday at 10am-1pm
  • Greenacre Library and Knowledge Centre - Thursday at 10am-noon
  • Lakemba Library and Knowledge Centre  – Wednesday at 10am-1.45pm
  • Panania Library and Knowledge Centre - Tuesday at 10am-noon ​
  • Riverwood Library and Knowledge Centre  – Thursday at 5pm-7.45pm
