This year’s theme is “LOVE TO CELEBRATE”.

Local seniors across the City of Canterbury Bankstown are invited to take part in this year’s NSW Seniors Festival.

Activities will include:

• Health and wellbeing activities;
• Bus trips to Shellharbour;
• A senior’s festival concert;
• The Stepping On Program;
• Library talks and workshops; and
• Meals on Wheels Clients and Volunteers Concert.

For the bus trips to Shellharbour and the Seniors Concert, tickets can be purchased at Council’s Customer Service Centres in Bankstown and Campsie from Monday 3 February until 14 February.

  • COST $20 per person (limited spaces)

Day trips to Shellharbour with stops for morning tea and lunch, will help residents celebrate the NSW Seniors Festival. Seniors can purchase tickets from Council’s Customer Service Centres in Bankstown and Campsie from Monday 3 February.

Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand, in partnership with Canterbury-Bankstown Council present:

A FREE workshop on ‘Seniors and Money’ which covers:

  • Scams to look out for;
  • Helping your family financially, what you should know;
  • Your pension; and
  • Avoiding financial abuse.

‘Good Shepherd’ provide services and programs for women. This workshop is targeted towards women, but anyone is welcome to attend.

In line with NSW Seniors Festival 2020 Active Canterbury-Bankstown will be offering a variety of FREE group fitness classes for local seniors during the month of February!

Please be advised: the programs run throughout Active CB Seniors Festival and are aimed for people 55 years and over, in a fun, sociable and inclusive environment. Registration is required to participate in the FREE session. Canterbury-Bankstown residents are only eligible for registration and only session listed above are included in the Active CB Seniors Festival Program.
