The annual Lunar New Year Festival will transform Bankstown’s Saigon Place into a colourful centre of entertainment, in celebration of the Year of the Dog. 

Join us for a night full of family fun, including:

  • Food and merchandise stalls
  • Cultural exhibits and demonstrations
  • Performances by dancers, musicians and magicians
  • Fashion parades
  • Eating competitions
  • 'Dog tricks' and 'best dressed dog' competitions
  • Traditions such as the New Year Garden, Learned Scholar and lucky envelopes given by the God of Good Fortune
  • Rides and activities for the kid
  • The lion dance
  • And much more!

 Road closures

Please be advised of the following restrictions from 8.30am until midnight on Saturday 10 February in preparation of the event.

  • No entry into Chapel Road South from the corner of Greenfield and Olympic Parades
  • No entry into Bankstown City Plaza from the corner of Restwell Street - buses excepted
  • No entry into Dale Parade from the corner of Olympic Parade
  • Dale Parade car park will be closed
