We live in difficult times and it is important to continue to come together to honour our diversity and embrace our humanness with the voice of unity, mutual respect and reason.
The Canterbury-Bankstown Interfaith Reference Group invites residents to annual International Multi-faith Prayers for Peace on Thursday 26 September from 6.30pm to 8pm at Punchbowl Community Centre, 44 Rossmore Avenue, Punchbowl.
The event includes:
Aboriginal smoking ceremony;
short prayers for peace by leaders of Baha’i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Interfaith, Jewish, Muslim and other faiths;
youth choir performances and
Residents are encouraged to join our religious leaders in prayers for universal peace and in signing the Declaration Pledge of Solidarity for the community of Canterbury-Bankstown to continue to work together on strengthening harmony, understanding, compassion and healing.
