Aboriginal Women’s Pampering Day

  • When: Thursday 2 May
  • Time: 9.30am-2pm
  • Where: Bankstown Arts Centre, 5 Olympic Parade, Bankstown

National Sorry Day

  • When: Tuesday 29 May
  • Time: 10am-2pm
  • Where: Bankstown Arts Centre, 5 Olympic Parade, Bankstown

Join us for the launch of the Barambah/Cherbourg Exhibition on Tuesday 29 May, 10am-2pm, with morning tea included. The exhibition will be available in Studio One at Bankstown Arts Centre, from Tuesday 29 May to Friday 29 June, as part of Reconciliation Week.

Aboriginal Cultural Workshop

  • When: Thursday 31 May
  • Time: 9.30am-3.30pm
  • Where: Bryan Brown Theatre and Function Centre, 80 Rickard Road, Bankstown

This workshop, for non-profit organisations and workers in Canterbury-Bankstown, aims to increase knowledge of  boriginal cultural and give participants an understanding of how to engage Indigenous people. Koori Youth Forum

2018 NAIDOC Family Day

  • Where: Anzac Park, Anglo Road, Campsie

This FREE event will include a smoking ceremony, traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dances, performances, activities and workshops and a barbeque lunch.

NAIDOC Connections Festival

  • Where: Paul Keating Park, The Mall, Bankstown

Come along for a FREE day of celebrations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, including music, performances, art workshops and a barbeque lunch.

2018 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Recognition Night

Canterbury-Bankstown will celebrate the invaluable contributions made by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women to our community, our families and our City, in September. Local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are encouraged to nominate to recognise women who have supported them in keeping connection to culture strong.

Local Aboriginal children up to 12 years, along with their families, are invited to enjoy a day in the lead-up to the festive season! The FREE day will include lots of children’s activities, lunch and, of course, a visit from Indigenous Santa.
