Planning Proposals (Pre–Lodgement Process)

A planning proposal is a request to amend a Local Environmental Plan through the Gateway process.

A Local Environmental Plan provides the legislative framework for land use and development in the City of Canterbury Bankstown through land use zones and development standards.  A Local Environmental Plan consists of a written instrument and a series of maps.

Anyone wishing to propose an amendment to a Local Environmental Plan within the City of Canterbury Bankstown should contact Council's Spatial Planning Team prior to lodging an application to discuss the process.

The attached information sheets provide further information regarding the pre–lodgement process.
