The Canterbury-Bankstown Council (Council) Policy Framework (Framework) sets out Council’s approach to policies.
It is centred on four key pillars that shape the way policies are to be developed and reviewed:
Council staff are to implement the four guiding pillars when developing and reviewing Council and Operational policies.
This Framework is an overarching document to the Policy Development and Review Policy, the foundational policy document that governs the development and review of all Council and Operational policies.
This Policy embeds the pillars of the Framework by integrating Compliance, Consultation, Communication and Consistency throughout the policy development and review process via eight Milestones.
These milestones outline mandatory steps intended to achieve a level of consistency throughout the policy process.
Resources contained within the Policy Toolkit assist Council staff in the development and review of Council and Operational policies.
