A planning proposal is a request to amend a Local Environmental Plan through the Gateway process.
A Local Environmental Plan provides the legislative framework for land use and development in the City of Canterbury–Bankstown through land use zones and development standards. A Local Environmental Plan consists of a written instrument and a series of maps.
Anyone wishing to propose an amendment to a Local Environmental Plan within the City of Canterbury–Bankstown should contact Council's Spatial Planning Team prior to lodging an application to discuss the process.
