I'm a lifelong resident of the Panania/Picnic Point area and teacher at a local high school. I am married to former long-serving MP, Alan Ashton, and have two daughters.

I held the positions of Mayor and Councillor on the former Bankstown City Council and have always worked to ensure positive outcomes for the community, serving on numerous Council Committees.

My qualifications include a Bachelor of Economics, and Graduate Diplomas in Labour Relations and Education. I completed the Elected Members Certificate at UTS in 2014 and was awarded Life Membership of the Australian Labor Party in 2017.

The City of Canterbury Bankstown acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land, water and skies of Canterbury-Bankstown, the Darug (Darag, Dharug, Daruk, Dharuk) People. We recognise and respect Darug cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship with the land. We acknowledge the First Peoples’ continuing importance to our CBCity community.
