English Conversation Groups

We also hold free English conversation groups in several of our libraries. Make new friends, while learning to speak more English. 

These groups run during school terms, except public holidays. Term 3 begins 17 July and ends 22 September.

  • reading, writing and comprehension books and kits
  • English Learner Readers with audio CDs
  • IELTS and Occupational English Test books (available at some libraries)


​Learn online with online courses and resources such as:
  • Online courses for living in Australia and getting a job
  • Online courses for language skills (such as pronunciation, tenses, reading, writing, comprehension, studying)
  • Practice IELTS online
  • eBooks and aAudiobooks for learning English
  • Plus, read eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines, or watch movies, in your language
