International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

Each year, in collaboration with community partners, we host an event commemorating the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (IDERD). This event is designed to provide our community members with the opportunity to voice their concerns about racial discrimination and to establish connections with services that offer support to individuals experiencing such discrimination.
In 2024, IDERD will be held on 8 April. The event details are as follows:
  • When: Monday 8 April
  • Time: 10am-noon
  • Where: Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre, 80 Rickard Rd, Bankstown
The event will feature guest speakers, IDERD art exhibition, IDERD games and morning tea. For more information or to register, please contact Council's diversity officer on 9789 94782.
