Belmore Youth Resource Centre is a purpose built resource centre for young people aged 12 to 24 years. The centre operates as a one stop shop for young people, as we have other local youth organisations who work in tandem with our Youth Services Team to offer maximum support to young people in our City.

Our biggest aim is to ensure that the programs and policies that we devise for young people in our City reflect their needs. We are committed to working in partnership with local organisations, in order to address the identified needs and issues within our community. This is achieved through a youth consultation process, with young people from our community. This enables us to foster an open forum for young people and community workers to discuss their needs and issues.

After school programs

We offer a casual drop in service complete with plenty of fun activities for young people every Wednesday and Friday during the school term from 3pm-5pm.

Other services

Current services co-located at the Belmore Youth Resource Centre include:

What are our aims?

  • Promote a variety of programs for young people, relevant to their many different needs in the community;
  • Maintain a city-wide focus by accommodating services targeting young people from across a variety of areas;
  • Enable and promote the development of new initiatives for young people as new;
  • Fund programs as needs emerge;
  • Maximise the use of the resources for all young people; and
  • Allow casual use by other youth related groups whenever available.
