I love my City. I attended primary school in Clemton Park, high school in Birrong, and I am now studying at the WSU Bankstown campus.
I feel connected to the City and understand the services available to us as residents. Services are very accessible thanks to shared customer service experience points located across the City and 'smart' thinking means I can utilise Council services even when I'm on the go!
I was never very confident as a young child. I had low self– esteem but programs like the Youth Council gave me the support and resilience to grow into the person I am today.
I volunteer as a team assistant in the Twilight Sports Program and feel like I am giving back to our younger community.
As migrants of Syrian descent, many of my family members didn't know when or how to vote. I wanted to change that and empower other members of the community in the same situation. It's 2028, and I am campaigning to be the youngest Councillor ever appointed for the City of Canterbury Bankstown.
As a resident of Canterbury–Bankstown, I feel empowered to be dynamic, to thrive and to be unapologetically me.
Enterprising, well planned, empowered, engaged, well governed, future-focused, responsible, leading, open.
