Luca's Story

Photo of Luca

It's 2028 and I have graduated from Western Sydney University in Bankstown. I want to work to help kids grow up to love sport the way I do.

I coach the Under 6s for cricket at Bankstown Memorial Oval and the under 10s for soccer at the new synthetic facility at Jensen Park.

I need to keep fit myself, so I jog to work at Punchbowl three days a week along the park beside the railway. Healthy minds are just as important. The improved libraries are great for studying and with so many virtual options, it sure helped me when I was at uni.

My son learns to swim at Canterbury Leisure and Aquatic Centre and my wife does aqua aerobics, so I am glad there is a cafe for me to chill when I'm not doing laps.

He will be starting Year 3 next year and we're so happy with the newly built local primary school.

He plays cricket there on the weekends now the school shares its grounds with the public outside of school hours.

Last year my daughter hurt her ankle at netball but the new facilities at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital meant we were not waiting long for attention. I heard recently their new research unit has made progress to conquer heart disease.

My whole family likes to eat healthily – we even grow our own food and I like all the fresh and varied foods I can get locally.

This weekend we are all going to Lake Gillawarna fora picnic – better pack the bikes!

People said they want CBCity 2028 to be:
