This phenomenon describes many of Australia’s larger cities, including Sydney and Melbourne, where knowledge economy and skilled people have settled, allowing knowledge and production to flow easily.
Searle speaks about how these bigger cities are growing at the expense of smaller regional cities and how, for some time now, there have been calls for a national policy to ensure a more equitable distribution of the population.
