We are a Bankstown based medium-sized engineering business moving soon to our newly-built office in Smithfield, seeking a person to assist the Office & Accounts Manager with various administrative and accounts duties.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication and organisational skills and possess high attention to detail. You will preferably have some training or experience in business studies or accounts. Own transport and licence is desirable.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • General administration duties – screen calls, respond to general phone and e-mail enquiries
  • General office administration – process inward and outgoing mail, running errands, photocopying, filing, archiving
  • Facilities management – coordinating service maintenance and repair requests and requirements
  • Manage office supplies, stationery, kitchen and bathroom supplies stock
  • Data entry
  • Payment of supplier accounts and any other ad hoc payments as required
  • Assisting with payroll functions
  • Supporting other office based staff with general administration assistance

Essential Criteria:

  • Exposure to a business software package such as MYOB
  • Sound computer skills in Word and Excel
