Get involved. Fly the flag of our City. Become a Brand Champion today!
Following the amalgamation of two council areas, City of Canterbury Bankstown, as part of its rebranding, extended this to a City Brand for the community to own and use.
To make our City Brand a successful one, we need your help to grow it. Every local business that jumps on board is helping to further strengthen the brand and contribute to sharing what great things our City has to offer.
Put simply, it is a logo which defines and represents our City, which you are encouraged to download and use alongside your own brand. The brand is based on the idea of "Where Interesting Happens".
To take advantage of this offer and fly the flag of the City, apply by clicking on the link below:
Alternatively, you can download and complete the following form:
City Brand application form
In person: At the Canterbury-Bankstown Business Advisory Service, Ground Floor, Bankstown Civic Tower, 66-72 Rickard Road, Bankstown
Via email: Scan and email the completed form to
Within five business days of us receiving your application, you will be sent an email which will contain links to download all you need to get creative. Add the City Brand to your stationery (we've made it simple and provided you with templates), stick it on your website and include the hashtag
#whereinterestinghappens on your social media posts.
The more businesses we get on board, the more recognised the brand becomes. The more popular the brand becomes, the stronger a marketing tool it is!
To help you embrace the brand, we have developed a suite of downloadable templates which will be sent to you upon processing your application.
We also have free brand kits available, which include a branded tote bag, information booklet, window decals, notepad and pen. If you would like a free kit, please contact the Canterbury-Bankstown Advisory Service Centre on 9707 9228 or email
There are many ways to adopt and apply the City Brand mark. There's the obvious examples; use the logo on your email, social media, website, stationery etc, but then there are the more 'outside the box' ideas. For example, your cafe's takeaway cups, promotional merchandise, uniforms and sporting team's jerseys – the possibilities are endless!

City Brand Info Booklet. It contains lots of information about how and why you should join and also answers Frequently Asked Questions.
