Bankstown Arts Centre is inviting young women (aged 16-25) to be part of Zoom Lens – a new youth-centred, innovative digital art program.
Participants will be involved in an intensive six-week program, working collaboratively and independently to create a video artwork or short film. The finalised video work will be displayed at our upcoming 2023 Youth Week event in April, The Area: World Tour.
Zoom Len's participants are encouraged to respond to themes related to online culture. This can include:
This is an exciting opportunity to also work closely with our facilitator Angela Blake, Co-Founder of SF3 – SmartFone Flick Fest, Australia's international smartphone film festival. Participants will be provided with a hands-on learning experience and an opportunity to create meaningful work.
Participants are required to attend all workshop sessions on Thursday evenings at Bankstown Arts Centre from 5-7pm. Some sessions will also be held online. Participants will also need a smartphone or tablet device to participate in the program, along with access to a smartphone, tablet or computer to edit their works.

EXTENDED DEADLINE - Submissions close 5pm, 17 March.
